NFL Playoff Schedule 2012: Ravens, Patriots, 49ers, Giants, Predictions for Super Bowl 46
By matt lanceJust few weeks from now, all the NFL fans and lovers will be watching the Super Bowl 2012. However, there’s a thing to be settled before we have the luxury of viewing the Super Bowl 46. There’s no team yet who will play in the most popular single game in sports as the AFC and NFC Conference games will be unfolded on Sunday.
New England Patriots vs Baltimore Ravens AFC NFL Playoff Schedule 2012
What’s the captivating things in this Patriots vs Ravens game? Of course most of the conversations are solidly founded in the offense vs defense battle. New England possessing the most explosive offense among the four teams left in the NFL against the most stingy defense left the Ravens. In the New England offense, quarterback Tom Brady will be engraving himself as one of the best quarterbacks of all time if not the best. If he wins, he will be in his fifth Super Bowl appearances and has a chance to win his fourth. Without a doubt if Brady wins this Super Bowl 46, he will be considered the greatest quarterback of all time though it can be argued. Brady’s offense will surely be the focus of the defense of the Baltimore Ravens. Brady knows exactly how to manage the game and he understands how he will navigate through the mouth of the vaunted defense of the Baltimore Ravens. With Brady taking care of the offense with great command, the Patriots will be unstoppable, are they?
For Baltimore, the defense has been the key to their success this season. Second to the Steelers in giving up yardage on the ground, and one of the league leaders in stopping the opponents passing game. Ravens will rely again on how they play their defense effectively. Pass rushing Brady will be the key for the Ravens to advance to the Super Bowl. If they will hit Brady at least seven times in this AFC Championship Game, then the Ravens will be a tough to beat. Also Joe Flacco must make wise decisions as he is the center of the offense. He must aggressively throw down field so that his team will have the confidence to play the passing game. With Flacco being aggressive and taking some risks, don’t surprise if the Ravens will make it all the way.
Patriots schedule and Ravens Schedule Game time is on Sunday at 3:00 PM ET. It will be televised on CBS Channel.
San Francisco 49ers vs New York Giants NFC NFL Playoff Schedule 2012
Which defense will make the best out of it? In talking about the 49ers and the Giants, defense will always be the topic. Both teams are playing here because of their respective defenses. There’s no denial that the Niners won against Saints and the Giants overshadowed Packers. With the defense being the priority, the San Francisco 49ersstunned the Saints last week in the NFL divisional playoff game. Defense will be the key and a couple of interceptions will make them to the Super Bowl. While the defense will playin the highest level, the offense also must show up through running back Frank Gore. It is not a secret that the 49ers offense rely primarily on the running attacks of Gore. He is the single player that can connect with the offense and he can derail the defense of the Giants. If he is successful gaining 150 plus yards on the ground, the 49ers will win.
For the NY Giants football, quarterback Eli Manning has to address this game as important to his validation as one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. He needs another run to the Super Bowl for him to be as the same level as Brady. Giants offense will be needed at the Candlestick Park so that they can eliminate the defense of the 49ers. Yes, Hakeem Nicks must make long catches the same way he did against the Packers. Also, the pass rush defense of the Giants will be needed to stop the 49ers in this game. Giants vs 49ers start time is at 6:30 PM Sunday on Fox
